"See Ya Later" Style // Collaboration

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

Hey everyone! I'm very excited about this post, because I got a chance to collaborate with one of my Instagram besties and fellow instablogger, Kristen (@kleighstyle). Check out her account on Instagram if you haven't already, because she has amazing style! We were both lucky enough to snag the "See Ya Later" shift dress from the Lilly for Target collaboration, so we thought it'd be fun to wear them on the same day and share how we styled them. Check out our full outfits below! I've linked all of the items that are still available online. Enjoy! :-)

Shell Me About It!

Monday, June 8, 2015

Hey all, happy Monday! Today's post is all about my new favorite summer top-- the Wiley ruffle tube top from Lilly Pulitzer. This week I found out there's a new signature Lilly Pulitzer store less than 15 minutes away from where I live, so you better believe I'll be making frequent trips there. :-) I had been eyeing the Wiley ruffle tube top on the Lilly website for about a week now, so I jumped at the chance to try it on in the store to get a feel for the sizing. I ended up buying it in the "shell me about it" pattern, but I also pre-ordered it in "capri pink samba" on the website. I absolutely love this top and it is so perfect for summer! It's bright, fun, girly, and very versatile.

As far as sizing is concerned, I read reviews online before going to the store so I had a basic idea of what I was looking for. To confirm those reviews, I would definitely go up a size or two, depending on how you like the fit. I am usually a size x-small in Lilly tops, but I sized up to a medium because the band on top is pretty tight. I also have fairly broad shoulders, otherwise I might have been able to make a small work. A medium just felt more comfortable and the band didn't dig in. The bottom part of the tube top was a little loose, but considering it's 100% cotton I can always shrink it a bit.

So if you haven't thought about getting a Wiley ruffle tube top, I definitely think you should consider it! ;-) It really is a very flattering top on all sizes and body types. You can also dress it up for a girls night out or dress it down for work or to run errands. Get it, you'll love it!

Crazy for Lilly4Target!

Wednesday, May 20, 2015

Happy Hump Day, everyone!

I noticed that I hadn't posted about my Lilly for Target finds since the launch on April 19th, so now that it's been exactly a month and a day since Pink Sunday, I think it's time. :-)

So how did you all make out with LFT? I happened to be out of town when the launch hit and there weren't any Targets close by, so I was one of the crazy people who stayed up till 3am (more like 4:30am!) for the online launch. I honestly questioned my sanity for a moment, but sadly that didn't stop me from staying up till a ridiculous hour. I don't have to tell most of you what a mess the online launch was, but talking to a few friends on Instagram during that time made it bearable. A few cups of coffee would have been the icing on the cake though. With the site going down 3+ times, I know many of us were frustrated when we realized our carts were emptied and the very items we had been waiting months for were gone in an instant. Thankfully, with the help of an IG friend, I was able to snag a girls large see ya later shift through the Target app before that went down too. That was the only purchase I was able to make during the launch, but it was better than nothing.

Since then, I have been browsing various hashtags, looking for fair IG sellers, and checking for returns at three different Targets by me. It also helps to have IG friends in different states, because thanks to them and their generosity, I was able to get the fan dance shift dress and girls nosie posey rope tote. Thanks ladies! :-) I also refuse to pay anymore than $15 over the retail price, so looking for the best deals took some time, but I'm very happy with the purchases I've made! I ended up finding both head wraps (my fans, nosie posey), pink eyelet shorts, girls large nosie posey shift, and fan dance wristlet from some very nice IG sellers. From frequenting local Targets and checking the returns and dressing room areas, I snagged a belladonna tote, upstream clutch, two lipsticks, a pineapple punch train case, pineapple sandals, girls xl maxi, my fans bikini top, and upstream jumpsuit. So here is a round up of pics that I've posted on Instagram so far. Some items haven't been photographed yet, but I'm sure you'll be seeing them very soon. Hope you all have a wonderful day! :-)

Sira & Mara

Saturday, May 16, 2015

Hey ladies! I'm really excited about this post because if you know me, you know I love gorgeous jewelry and good deals. The awesome thing about this post is that I will be sharing both with you! For those of you who haven't heard of Sira & Mara-- they have fun, chic, and affordable jewelry. As it says on their website: Accessories that break the rules and not the bank! It's so true. I browsed the website and found so many beautiful pieces and was amazed by both the quality and the prices. Another plus-- they offer free shipping on all orders to the U.S.!

I am really into turquoise right now, so I ordered the royal spear necklace (short), which was only $11.99! Such a great price. This necklace will definitely be on repeat all summer long. So please do yourself a favor and check out their website, as they have a variety of necklaces, bracelets, rings, sunglasses, etc. to choose from.

Pssst...the rebel bracelet (gold) and empire necklace are next on my list. ;-)

Rocksbox Review 2: What's in the box?

Friday, April 17, 2015

Happy Friday, blog world! Any day I get a Rocksbox in the mail is a great mail day. And I have to say that I have not been disappointed by any of my Rocksbox sets yet. What I love about Rocksbox is that the stylists genuinely try to get a feel for your individual style, noting the pieces you've kept from previous boxes, the ones you've sent back, and the ones that you request. The "wish list" section is also fun, because you get to browse through an unbelievable list of designer jewelry (my personal favorites are Loren Hope and Kendra Scott) and add any pieces that you like to your wish list. This also helps out your stylist a lot, because it shows which pieces you are really interested in receiving. And who doesn't love designer jewelry at a fraction (20% off) of the retail price? If you love beautiful jewelry and are on a budget, Rocksbox is perfect for you! The cost of Rocksbox is $19/month, but when you consider that you're receiving three pieces of designer jewelry that are retailed for $200+, that's an amazing deal! You can always try a month of Rocksbox for free by entering the code "brunettebargainistaxoxo" at checkout when you sign up, that way you get to see how the process works AND rent gorgeous designer jewelry free for an entire month. Sounds like a win-win to me! ;-) For more information on how to sign up for Rocksbox and how it works, check out www.rocksbox.com

In this post I will be showing you the gorgeous pieces that I received in my latest Rocksbox. So here they are!

The first piece that I received was the Margaret Elizabeth teardrop bangle in fuchsia. I have been obsessed with cuff bracelets lately and find that they make for the perfect arm party, as you can stack them with watches or other bracelets. I particularly love this cuff, because the fuchsia color is so vibrant and it glistens in the sun! I'm pretty sure that I've worn this cuff every day since I received it. It is also adjustable, so if you have tiny wrists like mine it won't fall off or slide too much, which is definitely a plus!

The next piece that I received was the Perry Street Jane necklace. Cobalt blue is a very popular color right now, and rightly so-- it's gorgeous! This necklace is no exception. The blue tones in this necklace really stand out because of how beautiful and bold they are. I especially love wearing this necklace with a white or yellow top!

And last, but certainly not least, here is the Gorjana Esme Cutout ring that I received. Gorjana jewelry is simple, feminine, and delicate, but it makes a statement. I love this ring because it has a unique shape and the tiny crystals set in the top and bottom corners add a little something special. If you're a ring person, this is a pretty ring to add to your collection.

So there you have it. Those are the lovely designer pieces from my latest Rocksbox. I am anxiously awaiting my next Rocksbox, which should be arriving in a few days! While some people choose to wait for their Rocksbox to arrive and enjoy the element of surprise when they open it, I'm usually so excited and impatient that I have to check online to see which pieces I am receiving before I receive them (yes, they post them once your Rocksbox is sent out). And a little birdie told me that I'm receiving a Kendra Scott necklace...yippee! :-)

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

xoxo, Britt

Piperlime Final Sale Must-Haves: 10 under $100

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Hey everyone! This is kind of a bittersweet post. As most of you know, Piperlime is closing its website for good on April 30, 2015. For those that shopped there and were loyal customers, it's definitely a sad time, but the one positive side to it is that everything is now on super sale, as they're trying to sell whatever they have left in stock. So now is the time to take advantage of these sales, though keep in mind that many are final sale and for obvious reasons won't be able to be returned or exchanged, unless otherwise noted.

After browsing through the website, I picked out 10 of my favorite items under $100. Lately, I've been finding myself leaning more towards florals, embellished sandals/heels, and lace-up heels/wedges.

I've linked all of the items below. Enjoy!

xoxo, Britt
